The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF)*
    News Release

HCEF will conduct several pilgrimages to the Holy Land in 2002. Arrangements will be made with tourist, transportation and hospitality business groups for the anticipated travel to the Holy Land later in the year. In addition, HCEF will meet with education officials to further develop the goals of the HCEF Child Sponsorship Program. Commitments for the Child Sponsorship Program have dramatically increased in the last year in the United States and arrangements will be made with the Schools to expand the program in the Holy Land. Sales of olive wood handicrafts in the United States have been successful and there is a need to develop the details of a marketing plan for this project with the manufacturers of these items. Finally, meetings will be held with Holy Land churches and organizations to further develop outreach relationships with American counterparts.

The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation is an all-volunteer 501c3 organization with the mission of informing Americans about the ongoing plight and suffering of Arab Christians in the Holy Land. HCEF will hold its Fourth International Conference in Washington, DC on the Holy Land Christians in October 2002. HCEF's fund raising activities in the United States for the Holy Land supports humanitarian relief activities and assistance, childhood educational programs, promotes Christian pilgrimage, and assists in job creation for those in need.

( The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation is a tax exempt, non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of Christians in the Holy Land by developing bonds of solidarity with Christians in the United States.
