Chef Kathleen Daelemans will present a cutting board made by Bethlehem artisans on the Thursday, Dec. 14 edition of NBC's Today Show. The segment features Non-Edible Gifts for Foodies - the twelve must-have kitchen gifts for 2006.

Olivewood products from Bethlehem are made by Palestinian Christian artisans using centuries-old traditional techniques. Bethlehem olivewood is a traditional souvenir of pilgrims returning from the Holy Land, because carving is one of the only economic activities available to the residents of the City of David. The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF) strives to support the Palestinian Christians by finding markets for their products as one of many aid and awareness activities.

Kathleen Daelemans has been named on of the 'Top Ten Rising Star Chefs', and has recipes published in several well-known food and fitness publications. She is often featured on the Today Show, and will also appear on the Nov. 30th edition with a segment on 'Edible Gifts for Foodies'. For more information about Chef Kathleen, visit www.chefkathleen.com

Olivewood from Bethlehem represents a message of Christmas: peace and goodwill to people on earth. These cutting boards bring hope to the people of Bethlehem, site of the nativity, and beauty to every kitchen. Consider an olivewood cutting board for your own kitchen, or as a gift for the foodies in your life!

Every olivewood cutting board comes beautifully wrapped in its own jute bag with a bow and a card explaining the significance of the gift. They measure approximately 14.5 x 6.5.  Proceeds benefit Christian Palestinian families in need during the Advent season. At only $25.00, these boards will go fast! Order yours today at gifts.hcef.org, or call us toll-free 866-871-HCEF (4233) x210.
